We are Super Juni-or !

Super Junior (also called SuJu or SJ) is a boyband from South Korea. They had 13 Members and were also known as the biggest boyband in the world. They debuted on the 6th of November in 2005 including 12 members: Leader Leeteuk, Heechul, Hankyung, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kibum. A year later they got their 13th member, Kyuhyun.

Super Junior became famous all over the world in 2009 because of their bestselling single "Sorry Sorry" from their most successful album "Sorry Sorry". Over the years there were built sub-groups which are based on various music directions.

According to the state in december 2011, 9 members are active in Super Junior. In 2009 Hankyung left SM Entertainment because of an unfair contract. Kangin and Heechul are in the army and will come back after that. Kibum follows his acting career since 2008.

History

Debut 2005
Their official debut was on the 6th of November 2005 at SBS's music program "Popular Song" where Super Junior introduced their first single "Twins (Knock Out)". A digital single including "Twins (Knock Out)", "You are the One" and 3 additional songs were released on the 8th of November 2005.

2006 - 2007
In February 2006 began the performances with "Miracle", also a song from their debut single.
On 25th of May 2006 they released their 2nd single "U" for free download. "U" was downloaded over 400.000 times and got over 1,7 million klicks within 5 hours, which caused a server crash. This single became the most successful song of the year and the CD was sold over 81.000 times after it's release. Until the end of the year Super Junior got more than 7 awards.

2008: Super Show
At the beginning of the year Super Junior made their first asia tour called "Super Show" which led from Seoul over Beijing, Bangkok to Tokyo and Hongkong.

On the 2nd of August Super Junior won an award on the MTV Asia Awards in the category "most famous korean artist". With that they beated other bands like Big Bang, Wonder Girls and Girls Generation.

2009: Sorry, Sorry - The 3rd album
On the 12th of March 2009 Super Junior released their 3rd Album "Sorry, Sorry". It already sold on the first day 29.000 times. Even after months the number of solds rose. In summer 2009 appeared the 4th version of the album in Thailand including a DVD. The single "Sorry, Sorry" were also made in a Japanese version. On the 12th of May appeared the 2nd single called "It's You".
The 2nd Super-Show-Tour began on the 17th of July with 3 concerts in Seoul which were broadcasted live from a chinese radio station. The tour went through 15 cities.

2010: Bonamana - The fourth album
On the 7th of May appeared the teaser from the new album "Bonamana". After a few days the single "Bonamana" was released. On the 14th of May followed the video and the performance at Comebackstage but only with 10 members. The album was released on the 26th of May.
