„In December 2011 I came to France, because my best friend was making her semester abroad here in Paris. We´ve known us since childhood and we both studied Music in Montreal. So I came here. I already have been in a band in Canada some time ago, but I left this band. We´ve been pretty successful in Canada, but the band split up, because we started to argue more and more, because of money and such stuff. Some of my ex-band members got and just thought of the money, but money wasn´t the reason for me to make music, so I left the band. I made some concerts alone, but I felt, that I had lost anything. I tried to find some new band-members, but I didn´t find anyone. So, then I came to France and at the University I got to know Seb and Chuck, who just had a project with Jeff and Seb at the University. They wanted to make a band and so we all met to make music together. It sounded not bad, so we kept making music together. I´ve written many songs in Canada and we played some of them. We started writing some songs together or corrected some of my songs. After some time we had our first concert at the Club 'Streetlife25' and the audience was amazing. They liked our music, that had been our aim. That´s where SIMPLE PLAN started.“

„My music teacher at University asked me and my best friend to play a song at an event of the University. It was like a project for our studies at this University. Chuck played drums and I played bass guitar. We talked about it and we agreed that we had to find some more guys to play with us. We asked Dave and Jeff from our music class. They said yes and we had a rehearsal. But no one of us was happy with the vocals. Nobody wanted to sing, everybody said he wasn´t good at singing at all. So I took over this part, but I wasn´t satisfied with my voice. So we needed someone who was good at singing. We coincidence met Pierre and Chuck asked him to sing with us. He agreed and we tried it. This was the best rehearsal we ever had. After the show at university we also tried some of Pierre´s self-written songs and created own ones. And it got better and better. Our first show in Paris was a success and we´re working on ourselves to get better and better. But the most important thing in our band is, that we make music, because we love doing it. We want to give people messages through our songs. And that´s the reason that I am in this band.“

„At the end of December 2011 my best friend Seb and I had to make a project for University. We had to create a band and play at the 'University´s Open Day' where many people can come to University and look if they want to come here or what tpossibilites they have to study here. We also found Jeff and Dave, some guys we knew a bit from music class. But no one of us could sing well. Dave and Seb were pretty good, but no one of us was content. We tried several songs with different people singing, but nobody liked anything. Then one evening we played at university we met Kate and her best friend Pierre in the studio - singing.  He had an amazing voice and after I´ve talked to Seb, I asked him if he wanted to play with us. We tried a song and afterwards we all knew: We´ve to stay together. There immediately was a bond between us that stuck us together and we knew that we wanted to stay together as a band after the gig of University. Since then we met twice a week, made music, wrote songs and much more.
